Note this is not an essay but I do want to make a point, a very sad point. That is, football, as the English say it, is one of the only left sports that is still surviving solely on skill. It hurts me to face up to this realisation as I am huge Tennis fan, but the truth must be brought to Light. Athletes nowadays, (not that i'm super old) are getting 'Higher, faster and Freakier' as David Runciman in his article for the Guardian puts it. Basically he discussed whether the rise of the Super-athlete was ruining sport?

I'm still going to watch the world cup (haha like a few games), I honestly don't know why. I thinks i'll watch it for the shere reason that it is the world cup, Soccerooos FTW although it's by a long shot, can't help but root for em!

Not only does it raise important issues like women in football or more obvious the cross cultural differences, but because it so fluidly integrates it with comedy. hmmmm I really want to meet the director Gurinder Chadha one day for sure :)
Here are some of my favourites quotes
> i can turn these mosquito bites into juicy juicy mangoes
> where do u usually play?

>What family would want a daughter who can run around kicking footballs all day but can't make round Chappatees?
>everyone likes beckham
no i really lke beckham..
> She's not lebanese she's Punjabi!
I'll end with and OLAY! im feeling hot hot hot! olay olay olay olay i'm feeling hot hot hot!
